none Twelve pesticides recommended on tobacco were tested against two important natural enemies Apanteles africanus Cameron and Telenomus remus Nixon of tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura F. All the insecticides except phosalone were found to be highly toxic 24 hours after application to both the parasitoids. Phosalone was found to be moderately toxic, whereas all the fungicides and neem seed kernel suspension were safe.
